So, when exactly can you get your hands on Super Mario Run? Well, it really isn’t that far away at all. Set to release next week on iOS devices, players with an iPhone or iPad can pick up Super Mario Run starting December 15. Sadly, Android users looking forward to Super Mario Run will need to wait until sometime in 2017 for the game to release to the Google Play Store.
Once Super Mario Run releases on December 15, players will be able to dive into the game for free. However, there will only be 4 available levels in the game when using the free version. To unlock the additional levels, a total of which there are 24, you will have to pay $9.99 USD as a one-time charge.
Don’t worry, though, Super Mario Run does not include any other in-app purchases, and there is no big free-to-play scheme to worry about here. Once you’ve bought the game, you can replay each level and access the additional portions without any issues.
